Astra Labs Start for $99

Web design for clinics

Clinic websites that answer a patient's first three questions and lead to a booking.

Astra Labs designs custom websites for dental and denture clinics, physiotherapy and sports injury clinics, chiropractors, med spas and aesthetics clinics. It costs $499 one time for up to five pages, with $99 to start and the rest when you love it. Each site answers what patients ask first (can you help, what does it cost, how do I book) and connects to the booking system you already use.

The order we design clinic pages in. Each step is answered in the clinic's own words, and the last one opens their own booking tool.
What the site has to do

Patients arrive worried. The site's job is to make the next step feel easy.

We have designed websites for 30 clinics and practices, from a denturist in British Columbia to a dental practice in northern Germany. These are the patterns that held across all of them.

  1. Start from the patient's problem

"My back hurts", "my denture is loose", "I want my skin to look better". Let patients pick the situation that sounds like them, or tap where it hurts on a body or tooth chart, and answer in the clinician's own words.

  2. Show the real people and the real room

A first visit is less daunting when you have already seen the clinician and the treatment room. Many clinics we met had a professional shoot or good phone photos and used stock models on the website instead.

  3. Publish the fee for a first visit

Price is one of the first things patients look for. Where a clinic is happy to show fees, putting the first visit price next to the booking button removes a reason to leave.

  4. Connect the booking you already have

Jane, Cliniko, SimplePractice, Acuity, Fresha and the rest stay exactly as they are. The site sends people into your booking flow, so appointments keep landing where your front desk expects them.

  5. Keep private things private

Our contact form asks only for a name, a way to reply and "how can we help", with a line asking people not to send medical details. Intake forms and records stay in the clinical tool you already use.

  6. Say when you are open, today

Opening hours worked out live in the clinic's own time zone ("open now, closes at 6") answer a question the phone line otherwise gets all day.

What we found

37 clinic websites, checked one by one.

We read the current website of every clinic and practice we designed for in October 2026, in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. On 1 November 2026 we opened each homepage again as a phone.

Clinics take patient care seriously, and it showed in their reviews. The websites were often a step behind: older themes from 2013 to 2019 with sliders, booking pages that open in a frame, and in a few cases demo blog posts or "lorem ipsum" text that had never been replaced. Several clinics had dozens of near-identical condition and suburb pages, in one case well over a hundred, while the page a new patient actually needs (who will I see, what will it cost, how do I book) was hard to find.

Method: counts from our written review notes on each old site, plus one phone visit to each homepage at 390 pixels wide. See the full method.

Clinic work

Nine clinic sites, and the idea behind each.

One is a live client. The others are described by type and region only, because they did not ask to be named.

Burnside Denture Clinic

What we found
A one page theme from 2019 with watermarked stock photos and template blog posts that had never been replaced.
What we built
"What brings you in?": patients choose the situation that sounds like them and get the answer from the denturist's own care notes, with a call one tap away. Then the denturist, the lab, the treatment room and the waiting room, in the clinic's own photos.

Tap where it hurts

What we found
A custom-coded site with stock condition photos, generic type and long boilerplate copy across about 37 pages.
What we built
The chiropractor's own adjustment film, then a body chart: tap where it hurts and it leads to the right practitioner, the real visit price, the right location and the booking.
Multi-therapy clinicBath, UK

Three answers in one click

What we found
A 2013 theme with a stock slider, clip-art graphics, deep menus and a booking frame.
What we built
A calm, information-first site that opens on the three things patients ask: can you help with my problem, what does it cost, how do I book. A clear menu stays visible on every page.
Paediatric dentistry, two officesCentral Florida

A smile that grows

What we found
A dated dental theme with a slider, a busy patterned background and leftover demo pages.
What we built
An age dial that grows a child's smile tooth by tooth, with the practice's own advice for each age, around their own photos of children in the chair.
Walk-in dermatology, four officesNew York

Which office is open now

What we found
A crowded theme of 72 pages and over 100 posts, with blue boxes and carousels.
What we built
A live board of their four offices, worked out from posted hours in New York time: open now, closing soon or opening next, so a patient knows where to walk in.
Hand therapyLondon, UK

Show us where

What we found
A builder template with a stock marble background and stock photos.
What we built
The hand chart hand therapists draw at assessment. Patients tap fingers, thumb, palm, wrist or elbow, see the conditions treated there and book for that area.
Dental practiceNorthern Germany

Tap the tooth

What we found
A template look with a stock model and generated images.
What we built
Their own treatment room, live open or closed status from real hours, and a dental chart where patients tap the tooth that bothers them and leave with a note for the front desk.
Medical aesthetics studioIndiana

Day to night

What we found
A builder site with a blank hero on desktop and before and after photos that were not the clinic's own.
What we built
The founder's own suite opens the site, her real results and plain prices follow, and the page moves from morning to night until a halo light switches on over the chair where you book.
Mobile dental hygieneSan Diego County

Where should we come?

What we found
A five page template with stock and generated images, placeholder shop items and a placeholder booking page.
What we built
The site opens in a patient's home, families speak first, and the visit request starts with where the hygienist should come: a home, a care community or a facility.

Questions

Clinics ask us.

How much does a clinic website cost?

With Astra Labs it is $499 one time for up to five pages, paid as $99 to start and $400 when you love the finished site, before it goes live. Live booking with deposits, extra pages and moving a large old site are optional at fixed prices. Hosting and care is $30 a month if you want it.

Will it work with Jane, Cliniko or SimplePractice?

Yes. We put your own booking button or booking page on the site, so appointments keep landing in the system you use today. That is included in the price.

What about patient privacy?

The contact form on the site asks only for a name, a way to reply and how we can help, with a note asking people not to include medical details. Anything clinical, like intake forms and records, stays in the clinical tool you already use. Every launched site gets a privacy page, worded with your approval, and a cookie banner where the law asks for one.

Is the site accessible?

We build to good accessibility practice: real headings, readable contrast, text alternatives, keyboard navigation and layouts that work when text is enlarged. We do not issue legal compliance certificates.

Can we show our fees and treatments ourselves?

Yes. Your dashboard lets you change fees, hours, treatments, team members and photos at any time, from a phone or a computer. Nothing changes on the live site until you press Publish.

We already rank on Google with many condition pages. What happens to them?

Every old page address is redirected to the most relevant new page at launch, so the pages Google knows carry over. If you want the old pages kept as real pages, the $149 move brings across up to 30 pages and 50 posts.

A new patient is deciding where to book tonight.

Show them who they will see, what it costs and how to book. $499 for the complete site, $99 to start.
